About That HR Girl

  With over 20 years of experience in a whole host of industries including Pharmaceuticals, hospitality and construction. Lara has worked as a Personal Assistant, Administration Manager, Office Manager, HR advisor and a director of multiple companies.

Lara started her career in the pharmaceutical sector working her way up from junior to Administration Manager & HR Advisor eventually leading to PA to the Director. Tasks including PA support, CV preparation, financial accounting, event management, and establishing and streamlining office processes and procedures alongside managing the Reception & Administration team.

With a hunger to widen her skill set, after 11 years services she delved into the hospitality world working for the likes of Stapleford Park Luxury Country estate and Corus & Laura Ashley Hotel group in Solihull and London. Branching into a new world of meetings and events Management, which included heading up the corporate and wedding division worth over 2 million. 

Spending over half a decade rebuilding, restructuring and increasing revenue in both Solihull and London locations. This added huge sales, meetings and events management experience to her bow. Finally wanting to work for herself, she and her partner became multiple publican site operators in the Midlands region for 7 years until 2023 when they decided to gain some work/life balance back. This led to Lara going back to her HR and PA roots incorporating her previous business owner skills, she set about creating a remote VA service and “That HR girl” was born.
